Farallon™ Sub-Slab Monitoring Systems
Sub-slab sampling and routine monitoring has become an integral part of vapor intrusion investigations. This kit provides a semi-permanent probe, designed to allow repeated sampling over time in order to assess the potential of contaminated vapor intrusion from beneath buildings and offers an opportunity to collect samples directly beneath the floor slab of a building and thereby eliminate the uncertainty associated with using soil gas data collected from probes located away from the building.

The unique design may be installed to lie flush on the upper surface of a slab as to not interfere with daily use of area. The probe is sealed with a threaded stainless steel cap that is constructed with double viton o-ring seals. The cap mates with a unique removal tool to provide for secure access.
Installed with a threaded expansion fitting, the installation is made airtight by placing a bead of epoxy sealant around the floor penetration beneath the top of the probe.
