The AMS planer auger is fitted with a cutting blade on the underside of the cylinder. The unique design allows for the removal of loose material from the bottom of a hole in preparation for collection of a core sample. It is made with a carbon steel bail, stainless steel cylinder and tungsten carbide hard surfaced carbon steel cutting blade.
