Portable Leaf Area Meter
The CI-202 Portable Area Meter is CID's most affordable leaf area meter. It consists of a high-speed scanner and a scan board with built-in data logger, display, function keys, and batteries. The board also has guide rails and a transparent film attached for smooth scanner movement.
Uses a white backplate with guide rails for scanning to eliminate lateral leaf movement
To measure a leaf, simply lift the film, place the leaf on the board, and slide the scanner over the board. The leaf area, length, width, perimeter, ratio, and shape factor are all measured at the same time. Measurement may also be performed while the leaf is still attached to the plant. Over 4000 data sets can be stored and transferred to a computer or printer.
