AMS Basic Soil Sampling Kit
Versatile and complete, this kit gives you the ability to auger in most materials up to 12' and then collect a soil core sample. Available in two sizes, 2 1/4" or 3 1/4", in regular carbon steel and either a Signature Series or a 5/8" threaded connection. Includes: Regular, sand and mud augers, rubbercoated cross handle, soil core sampler, slide hammer, 3 - 4' extensions, plastic liner, plastic end caps, wrenches, and cleaning brushes in a rugged, foam padded, hard sided case with handles and wheels. The AMS Basic Soil Sampling Kit is designed to provide all the items needed for sampling in a convenient carrying case. Used worldwide by soil scientists, agronomists, and construction companies for site investigations. Kits are available in the most popular AMS Auger sizes.
AMS Basic Soil Sampling Kit is versatile and complete
APPLICATION:
Use of the augers for accessing the sampling point at depths of up to about 12 feet (3.6 m) with the supplied extensions and AMS slide hammer. The sample may be collected within a removable retaining cylinder (liner). Plastic end caps are included.
FEATURES
AMS Soil augers are designed to rapidly remove soils of all types, using the specially designed bits on the Regular, Mud, and Sand models. The auger tips tungsten carbide hard surfaced and heat treated before sharpening. The core sampler features a heat treated coring tip on the cylinder and a threaded end cap. All attatchment couplings are 5/8 NC threaded.

Included accessories are three 4 foot (1.2m) stainless extensions, cross handle, cleaning brush, 2 crescent wrenches and slip wrench all contained in an AMS Deluxe storage and transport case.Two sizes of kit are available, 3 1/4 inch (8.3 cm) augers with 2 inch (5.1 cm) Core Sampler and 2 1/4 inch (5.7 cm) augers with 1 1/2" Core Sampler.
