The bulb is divided into two sections, a frosted side for longwave and a clear side for shortwave. To get shortwave, simply cover the frosted lens with your hand, or for longwave, cover the clear lens with your hand. To get both shortwave and longwave at the same time, leave both sides uncovered.

Light rotates 360°. Built-in handle opens to stand.
Operates on four AA flashlight batteries (not included) for up to four hours or on an AC adapter (included).

Caution: Limit exposure of your eyes to shortwave ultra-violet rays. These rays can ”sunburn” the eyes and cause uncomfortable irritation. Do not look into a shortwave lamp when it is turned on. Wear protective glasses if working near a shortwave lamp for extended periods.
