Soil Size
Soil gradation describes the sizes of individual particles in soil. A sieve analysis and a hydrometer analysis are used to determine soil gradation. The gradation of a soil can be assessed by the values of the coefficient of uniformity and of the coefficient of gradation of the analysed sample (the latter is also known as the coefficient of curvature).
